Adding 15% VAT (Saudi Arabia) to your net amount.
How to add 15% VAT
Multiply the net amount by 0.15 to get the VAT, then add it on. For example, 1,000.00 SAR net + 150.00 SAR VAT = 1,150.00 SAR gross.
How to remove VAT from a price
Divide the VAT-inclusive amount by 1.15. For example, 1,000.00 SAR including VAT ÷ 1.15 = 869.57 SAR net, so the VAT is 130.43 SAR. Subtracting 15% of the gross instead would give 850.00 SAR, which understates the net amount. It's the most common VAT mistake.
