Gross (incl. VAT)1,250.00 SEK

Adding 25% VAT (Sweden) to your net amount.

How to add 25% VAT

Multiply the net amount by 0.25 to get the VAT, then add it on. For example, 1,000.00 SEK net + 250.00 SEK VAT = 1,250.00 SEK gross.

How to remove VAT from a price

Divide the VAT-inclusive amount by 1.25. For example, 1,000.00 SEK including VAT ÷ 1.25 = 800.00 SEK net, so the VAT is 200.00 SEK. Subtracting 25% of the gross instead would give 750.00 SEK, which understates the net amount. It's the most common VAT mistake.
